Revised Eat Drink Man Woman Voiceover

The fish swims its last stroke as the chef grabs it, ready to prepare it for his meal. He scales the fish, guts it, and prepares it using traditional Taiwanese methods that have been passed down generations. As you can see, the chef uses very fresh ingredients, an important aspect of cooking in Taiwan. The chef covers the fish in flour, so when he fries it in oil, the outside will have a crisp texture. He then starts preparing other ingredients, such as some sort of white fish, clam, and peppers. It is clear that he must move from one ingredient to the next quickly, since there are many moving parts to prepare this meal. Look at the variety of ingredients, preparation techniques, and cooking methods he uses to prepare this meal, like how he just moved pork from frying pan full of oil to an ice bath or how he places a mixture of ingredients into a bamboo steamer. Next, he must go outside and choose which bird to use for this dish. After careful consideration, he grabs the bird that has the meat that he believes will best complement the other ingredients and brings it into the kitchen. Look at all these moving parts that he has to keep in mind as he is cooking, swiftly moving from preparing one ingredient to the next, ranging from seafood to vegetables to various types of meat. He blends all of these flavors together nicely by even doing things like sharing broths of different types of meat, giving their flavors time to mix as he cooks them. Also notice his extensive collection of kitchenware and dishes that allows him to make all of this cooking possible. After all this preparation, the chef is finally able to put all of the moving parts together as he folds together the dumplings, ready to be served.
